Ranveer Singh is on cloud nine after the massive success of Padmaavat. He has received a lot of appreciation for his role in the film making him the best bet for all directors. Talking about receiving offers from the biggest names in the industry, Ranveer says, “I am feeling blessed to have the opportunity to work with the best filmmakers in the business, such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Zoya Akhtar, Rohit Shetty and Kabir Khan.” He is happy that each film has a new and different character. “It is a very rich time for me as a creative person. I am getting to do loads of different things, keeping myself stimulated and challenged,” he said.
He further went on to talk about Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, where he will be essaying the role of a cop. “Sangram Bhale Rao aka Simmba… I am excited about collaborating with Rohit Shetty, more than anyone else. It is a big one for me. Rohit is the king of masala films. This is something I believe I was born to do and I am looking forward to it,” he said.
Ranveer is also doing Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy with Alia Bhatt. The film is based on underground music in Mumbai and the struggles young musicians face. Talking about it he said, “After completing the shooting of Gully Boy around April or May, I will immediately dive into Simmba.”
Ranveer is also prepping for his role in the film 83, based on the iconic World Cup win by the Indian cricket team in 1983. Kabir Khan will be directing this film. Wow! Ranveer seems to be having the cream of projects in his kitty!
