Sridevi passes away even before Janhvi Kapoor’s Bollywood debut – here’s her LAST advice to her daughter
The entire nation is devastated by the news of Sridevi’s unexpected death. People still can’t come in terms with the fact she is no more including the Bollywood celebs who are tweeting heartfelt memories with the veteran who managed to conquer so many hearts. But one person who must be completely shattered with Sridevi’s untimely demise right now, is her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who sadly didn’t even get to see her mum in the last days. I mean, while the entire Kapoor family was there in Dubai attending Mohit Marwah’s big fat wedding, Janhvi was here in Mumbai, busy shooting for her debut film Dhadak. How heartbroken she must be knowing that she won’t get to talk to her mom ever again and that her mom won’t be there to see her first ever film that’s releasing this year..
Hope Jahnvi stays strong and braves through this testing time, taking forward Sridevi’s legacy. As Sridevi had once mentioned about the advice that she keeps giving Janhvi ahead of her Bollywood debut, “As a mother, like any mother, whether they are coming to this profession or any other, you just tell them to do the right thing. Like, do hard work, give your 100 percent, hard work always pays.” In another interview, when Sridevi was asked how has she prepared Janhvi to deal with the comparisons that will be made with respect to her; after watching her on the big screen, she had said, “We can’t run away from that. She has to face the pressure. When she has decided to enter Bollywood, she has to go through all this. She’s prepared for all that, and I am also preparing myself for it. Sometimes, it scares me. So many thoughts come and you feel why is she doing this? But then, if you feel that is her aim and happiness, as a mother, I will support her like my mom supported me. We weren’t from a film background but it happened and she stood by me, fought for me and made sure I am happy. That’s how I would also like to be with Janhvi.”
It can be noted that Sridevi initially didn’t want Janhvi to become an actress but that didn’t stop her from encouraging her daughter to pursue her dreams. Today as Sridevi is no more, we only wish Janhvi all the love and luck to strive harder towards achieving her dreams and make her mom proud.
