Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 cruises past Akshay Kumar’s Padman in just 4 days; becomes the fourth highest grosser of 2018
Tiger Shroff – Disha Patani‘s Baaghi 2 has set the cash registers ringing ever since it released on March 31. The movie has been raked in a massive amount of Rs 85.20 crore at the domectic box office in just 4 days. And with that, Baaghi 2 has cruised past the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar’s Padman (Rs 81.76 crore) and become the fourth highest grosser of 2018 till now. Huge, isn’t it? Though many would argue that Baaghi 2 got a slightly larger screen space than Padman, the fact that it has been able to achieve this feat in just four days is commendable.
Talking about Baaghi 2 becoming the fourth highest grosser of 2018 till now, if you check and compare the lifetime collection of each film released in 2018, you will realise what we are talking about. Currently, Ranveer Singh – Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor’s Padmaavat is the highest grossing film of 2018 with a lifetime collection of Rs 301.87 crore. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (Rs 107.81 crore) comes in second place, with Raid (Rs 96.97 crore) completing the top 3. Baaghi 2 (Rs 85.20 crore) has now taken over the fourth place. Surely, it will cross Raid and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety‘s lifetime collection soon, but can it compete against Padmaavat? Well, it looks highly unlikely, but let’s wait and watch!
